Jo is an accomplished Senior Paralegal who has worked in the legal profession since 2009. She has developed strong experience across property, commercial and banking practices, having worked in regional, national and international legal practices.

Jo’s position as a Senior Paralegal extends beyond the traditional scope of a paralegal role. Jo’s capabilities in legal research and drafting, together with her involvement in significant and complex transactions, have given her a comprehensive practical understanding of contractual, property and commercial law principles. Working closely with the firm’s principals and solicitors, Jo confidently assists clients throughout each stage of their transactions, from initial due diligence and document preparation through to completion.

Jo combines a detailed understanding of contractual terms and commercial processes with a practical, solutions-focused approach. This enables Jo to make a valuable contribution to complex and high-value property matters, as well as the firm’s broader corporate and commercial practice.

Jo has played a leading role in a range of significant transactions, including:

• acting for a developer in the acquisition of a multi-lot site on Sydney’s Lower North Shore;

• preparing a complex option agreement for a Hunter Valley land transaction valued at more than $20 million;

• contributing to an extensive due diligence report concerning property and leasing matters as part of a significant merger;

• assisting with numerous acquisitions and disposals of licensed premises;

• providing tailored assistance concerning the proposed implementation of a construction plan over a registered easement;

• drafting agreements for lease relating to construction activities undertaken in preparation for the commencement of a long-term lease for a major supermarket; and

• assisting with significant and complex rural property acquisitions in various locations in NSW to align with rural land being repurposed for carbon abatement activities.
